Emerging Victorious through the Placement Drive !!
Huge Transformation is required for
a person to transcend from the cool college life to the stringent professional
decorum. The intrinsic hardening needs to be initiated, in the last year of the
professional program, followed by regular guidance, consistent grilling and
continuous individual counselling.
To enhance and further upgrade this
process of preparing their students for the Corporate World, one of the reputed
colleges in Haryana, with 2 decades of existence since 1995, Seth Jai Parkash
Mukand Lal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Radaur, District
Yamunanagar, decided to conduct a specialised workshop for their engineering
students.
The need for this workshop was primarily to
prepare their final year students for the placement drive being conducted by
one of the topmost IT company.
Under such critical circumstances,
the JMIT institute joined in hands with “The Transformers Value Creators” a
reputed Life Skills Training Organization from the Tricity of Chandigarh. Where
a 2 days workshop was conducted 10 days prior to the final Placement Drive,
catering to the needs of 350 final year students on the following need realised
topics of :

Interview Facing Skills
2.
Resume Writing
3.
Positive Body Language &
Grooming
4.
Corporate Ethics
The workshop started with a great enthusiasm
including some very energizers so as to inspire the participants and ease out
there stress levels.
The participants were further
involved in role plays, which were further discussed and elaborated involving
the maximum participation, so as to make them aware and realize the intensity
of the real situation and accordingly enhance upon their capability.
Through various specialized audio
visual aids, the participants were given specific tips to present themselves in
front of the interview panel in the most positive, professional and yet
original way.
As a part of the technical session
on resume writing specific differences were highlighted between Resume, CV and Bio-data
and the participants were further guided to Design and Draft a Professional
Resume as per the universally acceptable guidelines.
Session on Email etiquettes included
a practical email writing session, based upon the examples as per the specific
requirements of the respective organisation coming for the placement drive.
At the end, in association with the
in house professors, Mock interviews were conducted so as to let the
participants have a complete insight of what they are going to face on the
actual day of interview and to build upon their confidence and real potential.
The real outcome of this workshop
was felt and realised when 92 students from this batch of 350 students who had
attended this 2 days workshop with “The Transformers Value Creators” emerged
with winning colours and made it through their placement drive.
